White Oak Acorns have been teaching children to swim for more than Twenty Years. Chief Instructor Alison Millar who has been here from the beginning and is still going strong , teaches children from as young as 5 years old up to the age of 11 years . Her job ranges from giving the youngsters the confidence to get into the water to teaching the more advanced swimmers on how to improve their technique. Once the youngsters have reached the relevant standard they move from the Junior side of the Club up into the squads of White Oak Swimming Club. Over the years Alison has taught thousands of children how to swim, many have gone on to become Champions. Two of the clubs Girls Alex Connell and Mia Clements have recently become Kent Champions and were both taught how to swim by Alison, who says " it makes me proud when I see youngsters I have taught go on to achieve success ". |
